Herbalism and Reweaving the Web

3 Thursdays from 4:30-7pm at Dandelion Botanicals

Description… This 3-part series with Lauren Morgan will explore the inner and outer mechanics of bringing our hearts, souls, and the spirit of serving all creation into our herbalism.  For brand new budding herbalists, this series lays a sturdy foundation of "how to learn herbalism" with our hearts in the game. For seasoned folks who know there is a deeper connection available, yet haven't quite cracked the code of felt embodied relationship, this series will open those gates.  Stories, teachings and tidbits about local healing plants will be interwoven throughout the discussion with plenty of time for Q+A, and heart-open gushing about our love for these grand green beings of nature.  The deeper intention of this series is to help reweave our conscious and embodied membership within the very web of life, and to source, channel and feed that spirit through the herbalism we practice.

Cost: $100 for the series (recommended) Or $35 per night. None turned away for lack of funds, if you're called to come then come.

March 14th: Communicating with Plants

On this night we will explore the inner and outer mechanics of communicating with our other-than-human kin in nature, and dive right into using our non-ordinary senses. Various techniques will be introduced including drumming, imagination, intuition and heart-communication, with lots of time for questions and answers about our own individual processes in reclaiming the intuition and instinct of nature communication. Let's remember how to feel/sense/know, in an embodied way, our interconnection with the web of life. If you are looking to hone your unique way of communicating with plants and nature, this night will help.

March 21st: Creating Kinship with Plants

I define herbalism as allying with the plants to bring healing to our people. How do we go about cultivating allyship with these grand green beings? By seeing the plants as our kin, elders, healers, teachers and potential lifelong friends - we can find our way into courting them. This class will cover inner and outer "courtship techniques" or ways of approaching, encountering and ultimately deepening our relationships with the plants we hope to ally with. Rules and suggestions of ethical wildharvesting and resources on stocking our gardens with healing plants will be covered as well.

March 28th: Dreaming with Plants

Dreaming is a powerful and important skill for conscious members of the web of life. If we are able to unclog our inner dream doors, we provide a clear path for the wisdom, healing, and relationship from the plant spirits to more readily flow. The plants generously visit, teach, and heal us at night, regularly showing up at the dream doors of those of us who are interested. For these reasons alone, though there are many others, efforts made toward reclaiming our nighttime dreams is a noble pursuit. Many plant dreams will be shared (bring any you yourself have had!) as well as basic skills on how to invite plants into our dreaming.
